Dedicated to the hospice philosophy and mission, Clement Hearey has been the Director of Human Resources for Hospice of the Western Reserve since 2000, and is a member of the National Hospice Work Group (NHWG) Human Resources Forum.
Prior to joining Hospice of the Western Reserve, Mr. Hearey spent over fifteen years focused on human resource management and organizational development, recruiting and maintaining a strong workforce for local governments such as Shaker Heights, Ohio and Walnut Creek, California where he was a human resources and risk manager. Mr. Hearey has also acted as a human resources consultant for Public Administration Service, an international consulting firm in McLean, Virginia, and was a teacher and trainer with the U.S. Peace Corps in the Republic of Niger.
Locally, Mr. Hearey is a founding board member of The Gathering Place, a wellness community for families touched by cancer, and is on the Shaker Lakes Nature Center human resources committee. He is a 2010 graduate of Cleveland Bridge Builders, and has performed community work for COSE and the City of Shaker Heights.
