Judy Bartel, MSN, ACHPN, CHPCA, FPCN, was named Chief Clinical Officer in January 2012. As Hospice of the Western Reserve’s primary clinical leader, she administers, directs and coordinates activities related to all clinical services and operations. She oversees a team of 16 direct reports, and is accountable for more than 760 clinical team employees in Home Care, Alternative Home Care, Referral Assessment and Liaison, On-Call, Bereavement Center, Inpatient Units, Palliative Care, Navigator, Pediatrics, PRN Care, Pharmacy and Dietary.
Under the general direction of the CEO, Ms. Bartel assures that practices and activities are appropriately integrated into the organization’s strategic plan, and facilitates the provision of ideal patient care and services.
She has been employed at Hospice of the Western Reserve for 20 years in a variety of roles. Most recently, Ms. Bartel served as Interim Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, she served as Director of Clinical Programs. She holds a Master’s degree in Nursing is a Certified Advance Practice Nurse and is board certified in Palliative Care Management/Administration.
