William E. Finn became CEO of Hospice of the Western Reserve in February, 2011. Prior to coming to Cleveland, Mr. Finn was President and CEO of The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care (CHPC) in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Finn began working in hospice and palliative care in 1983, and has more than three decades of experience.
Mr. Finn has leadership roles in state and national end of life care organizations. He is on the board of the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation, a think tank for national innovation leadership in hospice and palliative care, and was board chair of the National Hospice Work Group prior. Mr. Finn sits on the executive committee of the boards of the Midwest Care Alliance and the Hospice Alliance of Ohio. He was twice chair of the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of New York State and served on the Board of Trustees for 21 years. Mr. Finn is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has presented at the state and national levels on hospice and healthcare issues, is published in healthcare journals and has consulted across the country.
Mr. Finn received his Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Mr. Finn and his wife, Rachel Martinez-Finn, have two sons.
