Nestled in the woods, at the intersection of Crocker and Clemens Road, Ames Family Hospice House offers tranquility and peace when patients and families need it most.
You are invited to help create the park-like grounds of Ames Family Hospice House while make a lasting memory of your own.
Every Brick Has a Story
A brick is a permanent way to commemorate our new facility and to make your mark on Westlake’s newest addition. Bricks can be installed as tributes that honor a special person, mark a family milestone or as permanent memorials to loved ones.
Two Walk sections are currently available. At the entry, the Veterans’ Walk of Honor leads into a large, sunny Veterans’ Garden. The Veterans’ Garden, rings a monumental American flag set on top of a 30’ flagpole. Only veterans, and those currently serving, will be honored in this section. To keep with the tradition of honoring veteran service as a shared sacrifice only 4×8 bricks will be placed on the Veterans Walk of Honor.
In the back, facing the old-growth woods, Tribute Walk begins at the Gazebo and winds around Ames Family Hospice House, leading walkers into beautiful, individual gardens.
Gardens and Garden Amenities
The gardens at Ames Family Hospice House is to the public year-round. Tribute Walk connects to the existing running trails long enjoyed by the community. Gardens spaces are available as donor naming opportunities, beginning at $25,000, and our garden designers will work in collaboration with the donor(s) to create outdoor spaces that are personally meaningful. We will also offer a limited number of natural stone benches at a donation level of $5,000. These benches are impervious to weather and will perfectly, and permanently, enhance the outdoor spaces and architecture.
Group dedications take place three times a year and all donors are invited to attend and include family and friends.
