Public Policy

What is advocacy? Why advocate for Hospice of the Western Reserve?

Advocacy allows constituents to inform legislators about their needs and concerns.

Unless we talk to our federal and state legislators, they will never know or understand the challenges associated with end-of-life care. Advocacy allows the voice of one person to make a tremendous difference for entire groups of people. Advocacy is community mobilization that influences decision-makers. Advocacy gives voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Hospice of the Western Reserve is committed to advocating for policies and services that enhance end-of-life care.
