Wetland Preservation

Wetland Preservation

Hospice of the Western Reserve will soon begin work to sustain and restore the wetlands on the 30-acre property at Crocker and Bradley roads, near Bonne Bell and Holiday Inn West, purchased in 2008.

For the safety of the community, the running trails on the property will be temporarily inaccessible during the preservation. Once work has been completed, we will re-open the trails for community access. Trails will close on March 1.

Here is list of running trails available in the community while preservation continues.

The work includes clearing trees and is necessary to protect the endangered Indiana Bat that migrates to the region. For more information about the bats, visit http://ecos.fws.gov/speciesProfile/profile/speciesProfile.action?spcode=A000.

Thank you for your patience while we conserve the wetlands and running trails for future generations.
