Hospice Dog Makes House Call


When Jim Cerny confided to his hospice social worker how much he missed having a dog, that was all she needed to hear. 

Soon afterwards, Mojo made a house call to Cerny and his wife, Kathleen, who live in Mentor, Ohio, to spread some holiday cheer. Mojo, a 10-year-old rescue dog, is part Shih Tzu and part Lhasa Apso.

Christmas Ale Clubs Makes Merry Donations to Hospice


The Christmas Ale Club, whose members share a passion for Christmas Ale, recently donated $1,250 in support of Hospice of the Western Reserve’s patients and families. The club raises funds through dinners and golf outings. However, it is their unique “Christmas Ale Crusade” that has enabled the club to grow exponentially over the years.

91-Year-Old Hosts First-Ever Art Show With Help from Hospice



Sporting his signature black felt cowboy hat, John Measles, a resident of the Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing Center in Madison, was recently honored for his lifetime achievements as a self-taught artist. The Tennessee native, who has lived in Madison for the past 50 years, presided over the first-ever public showing of his artwork in the ballroom at The Lantern Assisted Living Community recently.
