Volunteers from DDR Corporation Help Hospice of the Western Reserve

Employees from DDR Corporation, a real estate and property management firm in Beachwood, volunteered their time and talent at Hospice of the Western Reserve’s Headquarters in Collinwood recently. Eleven members of DDR’s “Women of Influence” group, a mentoring and service leadership group, pitched in and accomplished a wide variety of tasks, ranging from cleaning to painting to weeding and assembling materials for a mailing.
“We are so grateful to these women for their ongoing collaboration and generous volunteer contributions,” said Debbie Ludvik, Volunteer Service Manager. “They were willing to do anything and everything, and they did so in such a cheerful manner. As a nonprofit agency, our resources are focused on patient care, so support from corporate volunteer groups in our community is invaluable to us.”
This is not the first time DDR Corporation has supported Hospice of the Western Reserve. Last year, employees volunteered at the agency’s David Simpson Hospice House on E. 185th St. where they cleaned inside the facility and washed windows.
Last December, Lisa Scotese Gallagher, Director of Staff Experience, and Nikki Matala, Volunteer Service Manager, spoke at DDR’s “Women of Influence” group, a mentoring program and service leadership group. Following the event, DDR employees generously donated gifts to support Hospice of the Western Reserve patients and families in need.
