Hospice of the Western Reserve’s Commitment to Veterans Continues “Level 5” National Recognition


Hospice of the Western Reserve (HWR) is thrilled to announce it has been renewed as a “Level 5 Partner” with We Honor Veterans.  A program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, WHV addresses the growing need for veteran-centric hospice and palliative care. Over the past 18 months, HWR has cared for more than 2,085 veterans through its Peaceful and Proud program.

Working as a Hospice of the Western Reserve spiritual care coordinator has afforded me the opportunity to companion patients and their families during challenging times as they come to terms with the end of their own life or the life of a loved one. They have much to teach us as it relates to navigating through sometimes turbulent or even treacherous waters.

Hospice of the Western Reserve Launches Foundation, Introduces Inaugural Board


Hospice of the Western Reserve (HWR), Northern Ohio’s leading provider of hospice, palliative care and grief support services, has launched The Hospice of the Western Reserve Foundation. As a separate 501(c) (3) nonprofit public charity, the foundation will provide financial support to programs benefiting patients and their families such as pediatric hospice care and healing arts programs.

Bob Phillips-Plona Honored in “Notables in Healthcare” Report
