Special Memories Lead to Hospice Wedding


Sometimes, dark clouds and painful experiences in our lives, such as losing a loved one, can also bring about something beautiful. That's exactly what happened on a sunny day in June at David Simpson Hospice House. Newlywed Tara Feliciano, her husband, Eugene, and the rest of her family will be forever connected to David Simpson Hospice House and the Vista Walk due to a series of personal experiences. And the connection began long before the wedding.

Over the past five years, Hospice of the Western Reserve has cared for approximately 30,000 hospice patients. That figure does not include thousands of individuals in Northern Ohio schools and the community at large that receive support from our Elisabeth Severance Prentiss Bereavement Center.

Many trauma and grief support services are available to anyone in need. Most are free or available at a nominal cost. No family experience with hospice is required.

Three Daughters Grateful for “Circle of Comfort” in their Mom’s Home

Dear Hospice of the Western Reserve Staff,

Our Mom, Mary Buckner, was so fortunate to spend her final days in her own home under your care. We cannot say enough about what that meant to us, and, on some level, the comfort she herself probably experienced as a result of being able to die in her home in her own bed. It was especially meaningful to the three of us, her daughters.
