Holiday Treasures Await in Medina


​Looking for one-stop holiday shopping at bargain prices? One of the region’s most popular holiday shopping destinations, the Christmas Treasures Thrift Store in Medina, opens for the season on Monday, Oct. 30. The store remains open through Nov.25. Store hours are: Mondays – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (closed on Sundays). The store is located in the former Party Station space, 1104 N. Court St., Medina.

Veterans Invited to Nov. 1 Public Recognition Ceremony at Lorain County Community College


​Veterans from all branches of the Armed Forces and their families are invited to a free luncheon and public Veterans Recognition Ceremony hosted by Lorain County Community College (LCCC) in collaboration with Hospice of the Western Reserve (HWR) and HMC Hospice of Medina County on Wednesday, Nov. 1.

World War II Veteran Honored for Service by Hospice of the Western Reserve


As a soldier in the U.S. Army serving in the European theater, PFC Robert (Bob) Roth participated in one of the defining historical events of the 20th century: World War II. After the war, he served as a guard at the Nuremberg trials, a series of military tribunals convened by the Allied forces to prosecute Nazi war criminals.
